When objecting to a planning application, any objections should be based on aspects associated with the planning application and should not be emotive type reasons

The following are some ideas you might include in your objections:-

  • Wholly inappropriate development in open countryside and flood plain
  • Unacceptable damage to historic and protected landscape
  • Unacceptable noise pollution, sleep disturbance, overbearing visual impact, and shadow flicker
  • Adverse and unacceptable impact on bird life, mammals, bats and the wealth of our local ecology
  • Adverse economic impact through inefficiency of the turbines compounded by high cost passed entirely to consumers, increasing fuel poverty

It is very important that you use these valid objections, in order for your comments to be recognised!

During the met mast planning, Nopilrow received some feedback from residents, stating that whilst they have submitted their objection, the information is not appearing on the website or they have not received an acknowledgement. Its possible that this could be due to one the following:
• an incorrect email address was entered when submitted
• there is a backlog of documents that are awaiting uploading to the system
• the objection has not been processed
• the obection has not been delivered (in the case of posting)

We advise that if no acknowledgement has been received within the specified days (i.e. 5 days of receipt), then contact Sedgemoor District Council and express your concern(s).Details for contacting SDC are as follows:

Already applications affecting the villages of Brent Knoll, West Huntspill and Puriton have all been successfully challenged. Now is the time to protect our villages. We do not want open countryside turned into an industrial wind farm
