June 2011

Planning Timetable
On 13th June 2011, Broadview Energy submitted a planning application for a 70 metre met mast, the purpose of which is to gather wind speeds and direction. In their supporting documents, Broadview state that the met mast would be in position for 2 years. This is in accordance with guidelines PPS22 which states that a met mast should be in position for a minimum of 12 months and preferably for 18 to 24 months.

However, at an East Brent parish council meeting held on 29th June 2011, Tom Cosgrove, project manager for Pilrow wind farm stated that Broadview would most likely submit a planning application (for the wind turbines) by the end of 2011.
